Reconstruction of my ear!!

The time has arrived for me to begin the next journey on my walk with a very aggressive Basal Cell Carcinoma Skin Cancer. The next appointment is on Monday 15 March where the Dr will give me the date of my surgery.

My surgery will consist of them taking cartilage from several areas of my ribs. They will then mold the cartilage to form my ear and then bridge it onto place. I have lost 90% of my right ear. The surgery will take between 4-6 hours to do. It's going to be a very hectic surgery. My recovery will be 6 months to my rib area with me been able to do light duties after 4 weeks of having the op done.
