Movember Men's Health Month!
A big thank you to Reality Wellness Group in partnership with the ASF, hosted a virtual Cancer Awareness talk, 27 November.
The first session started at 10 am. ASF, every own testicular cancer survivor, Iain, hosted the talks. As this was our very first virtual awareness talk, there was plenty of nervous tension in the air, we didn't know what to expect. After a few technical issues and nervousness, Iain proceeded to do his talk.
The second session of the morning started at 12. Iain was more relaxed and immediately started to get into his groove. He recounted his harrowing and brave fight against cancer. He also touched on the various stigmas attached to the word "cancer". Iain also educated the captive audience on the importance of doing self-examinations, and early detection. He ended up with a story about Hope, which can be applied to any situation you find yourself going through. It doesn't have to apply to just people diagnosed with cancer.
A big shout out to all the beautiful people at Reality Wellness Group, who made this morning happen and for showing patience towards us, while showing us how a virtual talk is set up.
We are looking forward to future events and working together as a team. #becauseitmstters. Not all cancer is pink!!
